Project Description

The Ahwaz oilfield is the largest oilfield in Iran, located in the Khuzestan province, within Ahwaz city, in the southwest of Iran. The field was discovered in 1958 by drilling well No. 6 of Ahwaz. The in situ crude oil storage volume is estimated at 65 billion barrels, which about 37 billion barrels can be recovered on average. The length of the field is 67 km and its width is 6 km. In the north of the field is Ramin field, in the south Shadegan and Mansouri fields, in the east Maroun field, and from the west adjacent to the Ab-Teymour and Susangerd fields.
