Project Description

The Koupal oilfield in Khuzestan province is located 60 km northeast of Ahwaz. The length of the field is 39 km and its width is 4 km. The crude oil production capacity of the field is in average 91,000 barrels per day, which is carried out through the active wells in both the Asmari Formation and Bangestan Group. The Koupal oilfield was discovered in 1965 and launched in 1971. The field has 5 billion and 600 million barrels of oil in situ.
